Boards are stuffing audit committees with new directors who have deep financial backgrounds as well as digital and e-commerce experience. Directors appointed to the boards of such companies as Becton Dickinson Co.Chesapeake EnergyGameStopJetBlue Airways, MGM Resorts InternationalPulteGroup and United Rentals during the past four weeks have also been assigned to serve on audit committees, according to intelligence from SEC filings analyzer MyLogIQ.

At United Rentals, for instance, the board appointed Kim Harris Jones, who previously served as a corporate controller at Mondelēz International and Kraft Foods.

Home-building company PulteGroup appointed Lila Snyder last week. Snyder is the EVP and president of commerce services at Pitney Bowes, where she leads global e-commerce and oversees customer fulfillment, shipping, delivery and returns. Snyder has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from MIT.
